Prince Sunflower - Brighton

Prince Sunflower woke up one day in an amazing place. He went for a walk and met some people who told me that he was in the Pavilion Gardens in Brighton and that today was the Children’s Parade! It really was amazing he met 4,000 children and young people they taught him all about the elements Earth, Air, Fire and Water.

They walked, danced and sang through the city and came to the seafront with a glorious burst of celebration. Here he met the Brighton and Hove Goddess and the children of Brighton and Hove gave them gifts, tools for the future.

Water for quenching thirst, he found out that the Earth is thirsty.
Air for flying and dreaming
Earth for growing food
Fire to keep us warm and for energy from the sun

These tools are helping me on his journey.

Over the next few months he visited Nurseries, schools and community groups, he went to festivals and family fun days; he traveled across Sussex meeting people young and old he even met two Olympic Champions. They told him there hopes and dreams for the future and they shared stories. He also met his twin her name is Brook and she woke up in a place called Uckfield and they are planning to travel together.

They are determined to be the Voice for Young people to help them in their quest to save the planet earth.

In 2010, Prince Sunflower joined the children in Brighton Children's Parade again on 1 May. About 80 schools and 4000 children took over the street in Brighton on 1 May 2010 to show off their costumes in Brighton Children's Parade. There they met our dearest Prince Sunflower, who is keen to inspire young people to help save our planet Earth, in a procession from Sydney Street to Maderia Drive in Brighton. Brook and Atom also came to join the parade. Everyone was excited to meet them and treated them like celebrities!
